##About Me

I'm a computer engineer at the Institute of Physics of Cantabria (IFCA, CSIC · University of Cantabria) and a PhD student in Science and Technology, where I study large-scale computing infrastructures and their relationship with climate change.

My work sits between engineering and research. I monitor, model and analyse cloud, AI and distributed systems, and turn that data into open-source tools others can build on. Energy and sustainability are one of my main lines of work.

Wattnet

An open-source service that tracks the carbon and water footprint of electricity across Europe, built to help computing workloads run on cleaner energy.

  • Live, historical and forecast data for every European grid zone
  • Carbon footprint computed from the real generation mix
  • Water footprint of generation, weighted by local freshwater availability
  • One Environmental Score that combines carbon and water impact
